Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Global Impact Center (Private) Limited (“GIC”, “we”) collects through gictech.co, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the recruitment process that runs through it.

Who we are

Global Impact Center (Private) Limited is a company registered in Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan, and is the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question or request, contact info@gictech.co.

What we collect

When you contact us

The name, email address, company name, subject and message you submit through the contact form, plus the IP address the request came from. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the correspondence.

When you apply for a role

The details you enter in the application form — name, email, phone, location, current title and employer, years of experience, links you provide, and any covering note — together with the résumé file you upload. We extract the text of that résumé so it can be searched and assessed.

Applications are stored in our internal applicant tracking system, which is hosted on infrastructure we control. Access is restricted to the members of our hiring team who need it, under role-based permissions.

Automated assessment of applications

To review applications promptly, we use an automated system that compares the text of your résumé against the requirements of the role and produces a match score and a short summary. This is a triage aid only: no application is rejected automatically, and a member of our hiring team reviews candidates before any decision is taken. For this comparison, the relevant résumé text and job description are processed by a third-party AI provider under contract; that provider does not use the content to train its models. If you would prefer your application not to be assessed this way, say so in your covering note or email careers@gictech.co, and we will review it manually.

Technical data

Our servers keep standard web logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp — which we use to operate the site securely and diagnose faults. This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Why we may process your data

• Your consent — for submitting a job application, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form.
• Steps prior to a contract — assessing your application and communicating with you about it.
• Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries, keeping the site secure and preventing abuse.
• Legal obligation — where retention or disclosure is required by applicable law.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries — up to 24 months from our last exchange with you.
• Applications — up to 24 months from your application, so we can contact you about suitable future roles. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
• Server logs — typically 90 days.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing. We share it only with: service providers who host our infrastructure or process data on our written instructions; the AI provider described above, limited to the text needed for screening; and authorities where we are legally required to do so.

Where we act as a recruitment agency and you have applied for a role with one of our clients, we share your application with that client only after telling you which organisation it is.

Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored on access-controlled servers. Uploaded files are restricted to document formats, scanned for type, size and content before storage, and served only to authenticated internal users. Access follows least privilege and is reviewed periodically. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat this as an engineering responsibility rather than a policy statement.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy, or you may object to processing. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time — that does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these, email info@gictech.co. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity first.

International transfers

We are based in Pakistan and some of our service providers operate elsewhere. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we require appropriate contractual safeguards from the receiving party.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
